Trilogy DVD Cover. Fall Semester (Graphic Design 2) 2018 Of course I would choose John Wick as my 'trilogy'. By choosing red, one of the primary colors, it is to depict the bloodbath that is involved in the movie. Main little hints such as the priced car and dog are illustrated to show a summary of what's to come in the movie. The main design in this project was to create a fitting typeface for the movie. I chose a steel quality to emphasize the masculinity and hardcore adventure that John Wick experience. The story is about him, therefore his silhouette is appropriate. The blocky faded accents is to promote speed and action, slicing through.
Trilogy DVD covers: Chapter 2. Again, basing my trilogy off the primary colors, blue was fitting for the second installment because its mysterious, it's all about hunting down the target. It's all about avenging, the motif of bullets makes it pretty obvious; even the skyscrapers are made of bullets.
Trilogy DVD covers: 3 Parabellum. The intensity does fade with the third installment. Action on top of action, I illustrated a globe with a pointer to depict the world is after John Wick. Satellites, security cameras and crowds of people or the entire New York are all on the lookout for him. (spoiler!)
